Londoners
LONDONERS (2009)
I usually consider myself as a street photographer trying to find my images in public places without interacting with the people I photograph. When I was in London in August 2009 I had the spontaneous idea to do something different. I found this background near Trafalgar Square and asked passersby to take their pictures. Most of them said “yes why not?” so I went back to the same place for three days to take portraits within a period of three or four hours. I finally got about 120 portraits and chose 50 of them for the series now called LONDONERS.
